CO4Kids Resource Fair on April 13: Free for Families at Denver Zoo

April is designated as Child Abuse Prevention Month in an effort to bring communities across Colorado together to focus on supporting families.

The most effective tool for preventing child abuse is to strengthen families. This year, the Colorado Department of Human Services, in collaboration with the Colorado Department of Early Childhood, is hosting an inclusive, free, community-centered event called the CO4Kids Resource Fair, taking place Saturday, April 13, at the Denver Zoo from 10 a.m. – 1p.m.

This inaugural event will offer families ample time to partake in fun family-centered activities while also providing opportunities to connect with public and private services whose work focuses on providing services/resources to strengthen families and prevent child abuse. Food and beverage vouchers are available for the first 200 people.

A sampling of groups participating in the CO4Kids Resource Fair includes iMatter Colorado, Denver Preschool Program, Denver Fire Prevention, The Family Tree, Colorado Proud, Mi Casa Resource Center, among others.
